Mrs. Eleni Marselou is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physiotherapy of the University of West Attica with the topic of “The effectiveness of motor control exercises in women with osteoporosis after vertebroplasty” in the field of Circulatory and Musculoskeletal system. 

Mrs. Marselou has completed her basic degree at the Department of Physiotherapy of the TEI of Athens (2005). She then went to the University of South Australia where she specialized in Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy. There she had the opportunity of clinical practice in hospitals and sports teams during the training period, the competition and the assessment period. As part of her continuous professional development, she attended a series of seminars on Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. In addition to her clinical work in public and private institutions, she has been teaching since 2008 in teaching structures of formal and non-formal education in learning subjects such as massage, kinesiotherapy, assessment and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, clinical reasoning and analysis of clinical cases. To enhance her teaching competence, she has completed adult education and communication seminars. 

She is an active member of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists and the Hellenic Scientific Society of Physiotherapy, of which she is also a member of the Board of Directors. She is particularly interested in the musculoskeletal overuse injuries in the shoulder and elbow area with a large number of relevant presentations at conferences.
